How far can I backtest this indicator?

It depends on the amount of data contained in the astro-events database.
Metatrader is a platform that doesn't provide high performance for 3rd party applications and to speed up the indicator, astro-events are pre-calculated and the more data are included, the slower indicator works. In some cases it may even crash if too many indicators and expert advisors are loaded because all they share same resources distributed within Metatrader environment.

This is why a history is limited with 1 year.

For example, a currently sold AEMT4 contains aspects and retrogradation periods for 2013-2015.
Planet rise and VOC periods are limited to 1 year.
