How to configure Metatrader 4 data feed

using the template eurusd declination, is it possible to scale it to 4hr, or 1hr?
I tried it but it was giving me error: changeTfStr() error EURUSD index not found.
How do I resolve this?

Using of EUR/USD declination template means you assumed AEF Graphic Ephemeris.
After loading this template you should see a blue jagged price line based on D1 MT4 data and red line of Mars declination.

When you press H4 or H1 button on top it switches to 1 of 4 hours price file provided that your financial data source is set to Metatrader.

In case a path to MT4 data in Preferences-> Fin.Data-> Metatrader 4 is incorrect you see an error message.

Solution

1. Run Metatrader 4
2. Select EUR/USD chart
3. Switch it to H1
4. Switch it to H4
5. Quit Metatrader 4
6. Note a path to MT4 data. They are in X:\YourMT4RootPath\history\ServerName\
7. Check if files EURUSD240.hst and EURUSD60.hst are available
8. Run AEF
9. Go to Preferences, switch to Fin.data tab
10. In Metatrader 4 settings group box click ellipsis (...) button (Path to *.hst files).
11. Point to a folder where EURUSD240.hst and EURUSD60.hst are located
12. Click OK preferences button
13. Restart AEF

Note, that Metatrader 4 doesn't save the data to files until you quit it.
