All charts (events) data are permanently stored in the database. For faster navigation a temporary list of charts you are working with used. Work charts list is available from the main menu and allows switch between chart in a single mouse click.

To add a new chart to the program database (permanently)
  1. Click Add new chart button located on main screen tool bar or press ALT-A combination
  2. Charts Manager window will appear
  3. A new chart entry is already added to database and ready for editing
  4. Navigate to group of controls highlighted with pale yellow color
  5. Type in a new chart name. By default it is 'new chart XXXXXXXXXXXXX' where XXXXXXXXXX is current date in system format YYYYMMDDHHmm
  6. Enter a chart date in format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS (month, day, year*, hours, minutes, seconds). Time is local for the birth place, in 24 hours format.
  7. Type in first 3-4 letter of city name, e.g. 'lond' for London.
  8. Select a correct location from Cities list at right.
  9. If time zone and DST information is available it will be automatically used in a chart. If your location is missing in the database, that is very unlikely, enter the information manually.

*Year before our epoch must be preceded with minus sign. For example -145 means 145 BC.

To permanently remove a chart from database
  • Click a red minus button in DB Navigator (a bar with small blue, green and red buttons beneath the charts list)
  • Confirm removal
Add a chart to the work list
  • Select a chart in the DB list (left Charts Managers window side)
  • Navigate to the group of controls named 'Charts you are working with'
  • Select a wheel type (natal, progression, direction)
  • If you have selected a natal wheel, click the button 'Add current entry to work list'
  • The chart will appear in the list below the button
  • If you have selected a wheel type other than natal, the additional controls for for progression date will appear. Fill out those.
  • Progressions/Directions - a date of tha
  • Return - a year and a planet

How to join the charts (bi-wheel)
  • Check the boxes for charts you want to display as a bi-wheel
  • Confirm adding
  • A new work list entry will be added for bi-wheel

How to edit existing chart data
  1. In the main menu select Edit charts item or press ALT-E
  2. A Charts Manager (CM) window will appear
  3. Select a chart in the left list and edit its data as described in 'How to add an new chart' topic

If you have entered the CM by using 'Add new chart' main screen button, the chart name field in CM flashes for 5 times to attract your attention. That's normal.
If you have entered the CM by using 'Edit charts' main screen menu item, the New chart button in CM flashes for 5 times to attract your attention. That's also normal.
